About

At High Five Speech Therapy, we partner with families to provide evidence-based care for children experiencing speech and language difficulties through meaningful connection and play.

Our Mission

Who We Are

Carrie is a licensed and board-certified speech-language pathologist and the owner/founder of High Five Speech Therapy. She holds a Master’s degree in Communication Science and Disorders from Florida State University.

Carrie specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children, caring for a wide variety of speech and language disorders. She has worked in outpatient clinics, elementary and middle schools, and hospital settings where she has gained experience working with language delays, phonological disorders, and feeding difficulties.

Carrie is passionate about connection in order to promote communication. This includes experience in trauma informed care, child-led strategies, regulation awareness, sensory support, and a ‘whole child’ approach. Carrie is passionate about partnering with families, educators, and caregivers in the greater Tallahassee community to prepare children from birth through high school to reach their maximum potential.

Outside of High Five Speech Therapy, you can find Carrie in nature, drinking coffee, reading a physical book, or petting her dog Adler. Possibly all at the same time.
